GOVERNMENTAL OR QUASI-GOVERNMENTAL VISAS

A Visas: The holder has diplomatic immunity, and includes:

A-1: Heads of state, miitary officials, and certain officers assigned to diplomatic missions, and their immediate family.

A-2: Other foreign government officials.

A-3: For attendants, servants, personal employees, and immediate family members of the A-1 holder.

G Visas: For officials, employees, and dependents of international organizations (considered to be quasi-governmental).

G-1: For the principal representative, family, and staff for as long as they are assigned on a "resident" basis.

G-2: For (non-principal) representatives of a recognized government who are assigned to an international organization, and to members of their immediate family.

G-3: For officials of governments without de jure the U.S., who are assigned to the international organization and members of their immediate family.
